This post is for those interested in my journey

Just finished a load from Los Angeles to Detroit
Or rather I finished driving and am now waiting to offload at a customer. It is an hour after my appointment time and they are still getting their shit together. This is not unusual….
…. Haha. I guess their “ears were burning” cause just as I was writing this they hailed me in.
So I am back in my truck.
We got my tanker connected to the customer line. Now it is up to them to offload 6000 gallons into totes or drums. Totes are smaller units that hold 200-500 gallons.
Thank goodness! I was worried that I was going to have to do the offload

Anyways…. Just drove from Los Angeles to Detroit. That is a pretty long haul! Just over 2500 miles.
It was a great trip! I had extra time on this load so I was able to relax and take my time. I drove about a half day most days and took extra time at gymnasiums along the way.
Typical days I try to drive between 500 and 700 miles. But on this trip I drove between 200 and 400 miles per day. So luxurious! I got to sleep in!!
When I was in Los Angeles I got to have lunch with my brother and a delightful girl named Molly whom my brother is a father figure to. So she is kind of like my niece.
We ate some delicious sushi and went to a Mexican coffee shop where they had Mexican versions of standard coffee drinks.
I ordered an horchata latte. Mmmm. Delicious. Horchata is like rice pudding as a smooth beverage.
Molly bought me a jar of guava marmalade which is almost all gone now! I bought some traditional Indian fry bread in New Mexico to put that on! Fry bread is like a cross between a pita and a donut.
Obviously food was a big part of this trip. Lol
I also got to stop at a Sprouts grocery store in Oklahoma. This was treat because normally I shop at Walmart because that is the only parking lot I can fit my truck in.
Fancy grocery stores usually don’t have big rig parking.
I was able to park in a secret lot about half mile away my gym. After a workout, and on my way back to my truck, I stopped at sprouts. It was also a pretty good workout carrying five bags of aristocrat groceries three eights of a mile
Sounds like you had an Amazing trip! So glad you were able to see your brother and family along the way. As for food I mean who doesn’t love hearing about it!
Omg. You’re so wonderful Emma! Thanks so much for commenting on my blog! It really helps a lot! Yes I had a great trip!
Enjoyed reading about your long trip. Glad it was a good one for you. Very nice that you had extra time and visit with your family too! 🙂
